uHambo takes people back to their natural and spiritual roots through the geographical heritage wonders of Africa — walking, listening, healing and remembering who we are.
Who we are
We are a South African non-profit built on a simple conviction: nature heals. Our programmes take small groups into heritage landscapes — the Makhonjwa range in Mpumalanga, the forests of Makgoebaskloof in Limpopo — and pair time in the wild with indigenous knowledge, craft and community.
Every journey is run with local partners such as the uMphakatsi Peace Eco-Village, so the money you spend stays in the villages that host you.

Guided walks through the Makhonjwa Mountains — the oldest exposed rock on Earth — where the land itself does the teaching.
Facilitated sessions in nature that use silence, breath and place to help people process grief, burnout and disconnection.
Elders and participants share oral history around the fire, restoring the lineage of knowledge that colonisation interrupted.
Hands-on weaving and craft with village artisans, using recycled materials and skills passed down generations.
